Thanks for your comment. I have written extensively about America's racism and its treatment of people of color. This is an additional issue not a replacement issue. While I don't agree with you that Europe is the bastion of liberty, especially in how it views Jews, reparations are to pay to repair for things caused. Europe raped the African continent and then got rich off of the slave trade. It should contribute to helping fix the problems that flow from that. I agree with you wholeheartedly that America has some deep deep responsibility in how it currently treats its citizens of color. It should ALSO pay its fair share to repair. Germany did not pay reparations to remove social barriers. The Jews were already dead and the survivors and descendants not in Germany anymore. So to it should be with the countries who built themselves on the profits of slaves. Not as a punishment, but to go towards helping the people who suffer today from those systems.
