Pro-Life, Except for Black People

Time to check ourselves on why some souls matter more than others

As the debate over abortion rages in America, many of us are left wondering what the term pro-life really means.

I’ve always had a tough time reconciling people who passionately want to save unborn children, yet cheer on Kyle Rittenhouse when he guns down people protesting police-sponsored racism.

It’s been a head-scratcher for me for years to understand how people on the front lines of protecting fetuses often do not flinch when Black joggers are murdered. Or when someone calls the cops on Black bird watchers.

Why is it that the some of the same people protesting outside of Planned Parenthood with pictures of aborted fetuses aren’t also protesting outside of police headquarters with pictures of Breonna Taylor, Andre Hill and Elijah McClain?

Unless I missed it, I didn’t see any self-described pro-lifers protesting with a picture of a government-sponsored knee on George Floyd’s neck.

How come people who claim to love life so much aren’t outraged that tens of thousands of Black men and…
