Important topic but I think framing as taking a side makes someone choose between pro-Israel or pro-Palestinian. President Obama’s Gaza statement demonstrates we can be both. Outraged at Hamas’ savagery and want them destroyed and also advocate for victims of war. We can advocate for Israel’s right to live in peace and security AND advocate for a Palestinian state living side by side. Thanks for writing your piece, though. I’ve been thinking about the manipulation of Black people on this topic for a while.
