I think you’ve taken this piece the wrong way. I fully understand who built our country and who America’s ancestors are. The point then and today is they still had the tools and knowledge to do things differently. We use the excuse “that was the time” then and every other time period to excuse behavior. Behavior I don’t think should ever be excused.
