Barbaric Bullfighting and American Racial Hypocrisy.
Let’s finally use our energy to fight racism
I just got back from vacation with my three young adult children. We toured Tangier, Morocco and Gibraltar, then Ronda, Córdoba, Marbella and Málaga, Spain.
Every year I take my kids on cultural, experiential vacations to raise them into worldly human beings. To see the humanity that universally exists regardless of ethnicity. Plus, my family didn’t have any money when I was a kid, so I never got to leave Ohio until age 17. This annual event is just as special for me as it is for my curious kids.
The travel company I hired to propose our 10-day itinerary suggested we attend bullfighting in Spain. Plaza de Toros de La Malgueta. The venue, denominated as a cultural asset of Spain, is a near 10,000-seat stadium built in 1876. One of the largest bullfighting events of the year was taking place while we were there. Our tickets would be in the third row.
